Introduction to Health Issues
In Ancient Mesopotamia, just like in all areas of the world, many diseases, illnesses and injuries frequently happened to people in Ancient Mesopotamian settlements. They developed their own assumptions of how one was diagnosed and believed that it was as a result of the Gods having displeasure with the person or evil spirits had possessed them. In order to treat the present illnesses, Mesopotamians developed their own remedies to cure with the limited resources they had; these included herbal remedies and others. Certain medical partitioners or doctors also existed and their role was to cure illness. However thousands of years ago, with limited technology and resources Mesopotamians had to use what was available to them to develop medical remedies, which practices have evolved over time and shaped the world we live in today. As many of their herbal remedies and knowledge of cures which historians have found on their clay texts, have allowed people of the modern day to implement a few aspects of their medical knowledge into nowadays civilisations.
